The unsaturated fat is good fat in the body.  In addition to the fats, peanut butter supplies the body with vitamins, fiber and minerals and other nutrients. Studies have shown that people who regularly include peanut butter in their diet are less likely to develop type 2 diabetes or other heart diseases. Despite their healthy nature, it has been found that unsalted peanut butter possesses a bad sodium-to-potassium ratio which counters the effects of sodium surplus. Other health benefits of peanut butter are; decreases hypertension reduces the risk of cancer, heart diseases and lowers the risk of contracting fungal and viral infections.

But according to a survey in the United States, peanut butter has a major risk known as peanut allergies. The peanut allergy has symptoms which include diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, asthma, anaphylaxis, and angioedema. The study revealed that a lot of people have this allergy which sometimes can prove to be fatal if not treated.

The Middle Eastern meal which is known as Hummus has been found to be the best food that has a lot of health benefits to the body compared to other foods such as peanut butter. Its ingredients which include chickpea, oil, tahini, and garlic and lemon juice provide the body with the high amount of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants.
